Bruce is Better Than Evan

July 11, 2007
After the 6 hours sleep I had last I am now totally shattered and have the worst throat ever, maybe it wasn’t a good idea staying up so late. For breakfast I had the most amazing rasin bread which was so good. I think I might re stock on food when I go home its so good here! Then we traveled to the warehouse where we had various workshops and enjoyed games. We were going to have a car wash today but that has been changed till tomorrow. At 2.30 we then watched Evan Almighty which I didn’t think was that good, I prefer Bruce Almighty. We finished a bit earlier today so went to the mall again where I bought loads of good stuff, clothes are really cheap here so I’m going to take lots back. I’m hoping to go to bed a bit earlier then hopefully I wont feel so bad!

i saw Bruce almighty i didnt really like the main character ummm i forget his name but he bothers me every time he opens his mouth man i just want to shove a sock in it or something but i didnt get to see the other almighty movie yet but i heard that it was alright i heard that it wasnt sac religous or anything like people thought it would be so thats good so how have things been going with this silver ring issue i dont know why people have to make it sound so bad and also why they have to make a huge deal out of someone wanting to stay pure until marriage

I have to disagree with you as to which movie is better. I felt that Bruce had way to many "unchristian" morals that caused people to lose sight of the main focus of the movie, salvation and submission. Meanwhile, it suggested that certain blatantly "sinful" things are "okay" in the eyes of God. In contrast, Evan had far less innappropriate humor and successfully maintained the theme of giving in to and following God's will. Overall, both were hilarious, but one was truer to the message.
